Chandigarh.26th August,2020:Hon’ble Governor of Punjab
and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, Sh. VP Singh Badnore today presided
over War Room meeting. The meeting was attended by Sh. Manoj Parida,
Adviser to the Administrator, Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary
(Home), Sh. Sanjay Beniwal, Director General of Police, Sh. KK Yadav,
Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Deputy Commissioners of Mohali
& Panchkula, Director-PGIMER, Director Health Services &
Director Principal, GMCH through Video Conferencing.
WAR ROOM DIRECTIONS
1.Dr. Jagat Ram, Director, PGIMER stated that they have
160 Covid patients in Nehru Hospital Extension, out of which 50 belong
to Chandigarh, 62 to Punjab, 28 to Haryana and 10 to Himachal Pradesh.
He also stated that they have tested 926 samples, out of which 90 were
found positive. Among the positive samples, 51 belong to Chandigarh.
Dr. BS Chavan, Director Principal, GMCH stated that they tested 330
samples in RT-PCR, out of which 80 were found positive. Dr. G. Dewan,
Director Health Services stated that they have tested 917 covid samples,
out of which 562 were Antigen samples. He also stated that fogging has
been done in Sectors 43 and 44.
2.Deputy Commissioner, Mohali stated that they have
1,738 active cases. Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula stated that they
have 508 active cases and Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh stated that
they have 1,456 active cases.
3.Dr Dewan mentioned that 22,744 persons have already
registered for Digital Health Cards, which is highest in the country.
After detailed discussions, the Administrator directed that all efforts
should be made to ensure that the entire population of Chandigarh is
covered under National Digital Health Mission. All residents must go
for Digital Health Cards.
4.The Hon’ble Governor Punjab and Administrator, U.T.,
Chandigarh advised Director, PGIMER that if there are mild and stable
cases in Nehru Hospital Extension, they could be shifted to other
places, so that the beds remain reserved for critical patients only.
5.Adviser, Manoj Parida informed the Administrator that
Government of India’s team, led by Dr. Parveen Gedam, Additional CEO of
National Health Authority visited U.T., Secretariat and appreciated the
efforts already taken to popularize Digital Health Cards.
6.Adviser, Manoj Parida also informed the Administrator
that 5 months’ ration quota (wheat and pulses) will be distrubted in
various centres shortly under Extended Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Anna
Yojna.
7.The Administrator directed Shri Mukesh Anand, Chief
Engineer, U.T. to ensure that the facilities being provided in various
Covid Care Centres are improved. Proper sanitization and maintenance
should be done, so that there is no inconvience to the patients.
8.The Administrator directed Shri K.K. Yadav,
Commissioner, MC to conduct regular sanitization in different area to
contain spread of covid infection and other monsoon related diseases.
