have always been into extra curricular activities as I like to express
myself through painting, writing, interior decoration and tattoo making.
I always wanted to be an actor as being on stage makes me feel alive.
While at MCM College, I started doing theatre and at the age of 19 got a
role in a film ‘Mitti Na Phrol Jogiya’. Then I did songs, ads and short
films. Meanwhile, I met with an accident, which put a brake on
everything for 2.5 years.”
After recovery, she moved to Mumbai to
fulfill her dreams. Due to medication she gained 20 kg weight. There she
assisted in films, serials, songs and ad films, before focusing again
on acting after losing 15 kg of weight till her 24th birthday. She got a
role as second lead in a Hindi movie ‘Nusrat Jahan, acted in a Telugu
song, then Covid lockdown happened and she got trapped in Mumbai, all
alone. But, she did not lose patience and positivity. She came out of
this whole roller coaster ride bravely.
Pooja says, “I am looking forward for a
bright future, working hard to achieve my goals; want to earn name,
fame, respect and money all in a sequence. I wish to start an NGO for
elderly people and orphans, and to help in adult education. We are
family of five. My parents are my biggest strength, who have always
supported and motivated us.”
